Need an EDGE in this tough job market?

EDGE: stands for Equipped Determined Goal- Oriented and Empowered.  This is our FREE job skills program that helps students create a resume, cover letter, and learn interviewing skills.  Each student is given a mock interview with an employer in the job field they are currently pursuing.  Students also have an opportunity to win a $500.00 scholarship to Chemeketa Community College.

Free Classes are on Monday nights with childcare provided from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Our next seven week session will start on April 16, 2012. Please call Kathy at 503-472-8476 to register.

Operation Backpack impacts our community with resources and compassion in a fun-filled atmosphere. Our goal this year is to provide backpacks and school supplies for 750 children. This means we will be serving somewhere around 2000 + people that day as siblings and parents accompany their children. Children pick out their own backpack receive supplies appropriate to their grade, play games and interact with their family and other members of our community. This year Operation Backpack will take place Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Newby Elementary School, 1125 West Second Street, McMinnville, OR 97128.
