Support ~ Mentorship ~ Care Packages
Program Coordinator, Caitlin Sticka, supports women diagnosed with breast cancer to connect to the With Courage support group, personal mentors and financial resources. In addition to Kathy's Hope, she works closely with Willamette Valley Caner Foundation and Seeds of Hope to ensure that all three of the area nonprofits serving women impacted by breast cancer work effectively together, not duplicating efforts and maximizing the support available to our community.
Kathy's Hope is a fund which provides financial assistance to women and families impacted by breast cancer. This can be anything from literature to assist their children in understanding and adjusting to the diagnoses, gas cards for hospital trips, medical bills, childcare costs, or any other expense associated with treatment. In order to fund this program, Hope on the Hill has an annual Pink Lights Campaign and Pink Ribbon Event each October.
With October being Breast Cancer awareness month, we want to bring more than just awareness to women in Yamhill County. When a business or individual donates $500 to Hope on the Hill, Christmas Décor by C and D Landscape Co. will install 1000 pink mini lights on a tree of their choosing and a yard sign will be provided at the base of each tree, identifying your support. You will also receive two free tickets to the Pink Ribbon Event on October 21st, 2017. All proceeds are utilized to support With Courage and Kathy's Hope.
With Courage care packages are given to each woman going through the treatment process to help make that journey a little easier.
