I have to admit to you that my tree is still in the living room. I did undecorate it yesterday, but it is still standing there tall and naked. In my defense, I put up our tree very late this year. So late in fact, my children were starting to wonder if we were going to have a tree at all. I guess that is why I kept it up so late. Truth be told though, I love Christmas, I love celebrating and having the Advent devotionals about Jesus with my children. I love the decorations, the music, the Christmas spirit and the goodwill towards man. I love all of it.
Did you know that Tree of Hope served over 300 families this last Christmas! 300 families! In fact no one that asked for assistance from us was turned away. That is something HOTH is very proud of.
Organizing donations, purchasing presents, getting everything wrapped and labeled and delivered, and even bringing in Santa to make a special appearance is a huge undertaking. Multiple volunteers poured in much of their time and energy assuring that Christmas would be Merry for any that came to us in need.
Our Coordinator for Tree of Hope is Jennifer Chapman. We are so blessed here at Hope On The Hill to have such a valuable and wonderful volunteer like Jen.
Today you get the privilege to learn a little bit more about our beautiful heart named Jennifer.
